We are looking for a Legal Counsel Consumer EU M/F to join our EMEA Legal team.

 

As part of the EMEA Legal team, the role is intellectually challenging, exciting and fast-paced. Developing innovative and creative solutions to challenging legal issues is part of your daily business.

 

Principle duties and responsibilities:

 

  • As a trusted business partner, provide counselling and training on legal policies, guidelines and new regulations to our Automotive OEM and Sales and Marketing organizations integrated within our European activities.
  • Be the lead legal adviser to the Automotive OEMs business and assist in developing and implementing the relevant OE strategies and action plans.
  • Draft, negotiate and review a broad range of commercial and sales agreements. 
  • Serve as a member of the EMEA legal function to help identify and proactively manage legal risks.
  • Provide practical strategies, training and counsel for risk avoidance to the business units and participate in selected functional projects.

 

Profile:

 

Experience:

  • The candidate must have demonstrated legal experience in counseling industrial suppliers to the Automotive OEMs.
  • 5 years minimum of experience in a major law firm handling commercial matters and/or similar in-house experience.
  • An experience as an attorney with the requisite legal background and interpersonal skills to function successfully in a highly visible and challenging position is mandatory.
  • The candidate must be able make decisions based on sound judgment and display the highest level of ethical conduct and integrity.
  • Strong ability to work in a large team based in multiple locations.

 

Education: 

  • Master degree in Law is mandatory.
  • Admitted to practice in local jurisdiction in Germany, Switzerland or Austria.
  • LLM is considered as an asset.

 

Knowledge and skills: 

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with international exposure.
  • Pragmatic and business minded. Excellent communication skills:
    • Ability to adapt the communication style to the audience (cultural awareness)
    • Develop and maintain good and strong relationship and coordinate with different functions to ensure employee and client needs are managed properly.
    • Ability to interact with senior and top-level management.
    • Strong team player with excellent relationship skills.
    • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.

 

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and German. Other language is considered a plus.
