About the Position

The Innovation Technician will be responsible for supporting the engineering needs of the Hebron Plant. This position will focus on operating and maintaining equipment, developing and maintaining standard work instructions, verification and quality checks, and implementing improvements to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).


Primary Responsibilities

  • Daily Equipment Care & Preventative Maintenance: Verify & maintain machine reliability to insure proper operation. Adhere to Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) & calibration standards. Recognize abnormal situations & work with team members to identify & resolve equipment or process related issues. 
  • Material Handling: Ensure incoming materials are received “Just in Time” & kept to the proper inventory level (via “Kanban” or “pull” system). Verify all material is free of dirt, dust, paper, oil, etc. Report any incoming material quality issue to leadership & facilitate corrective actions with supplier.
  • Process Control & Equipment Support: Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) run charts to recognize abnormal conditions, determine root cause(s) & work as a team to resolve problems. Provide operational assistance on equipment installation/upgrades. Implement improvements to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).  
  •  Safety & Environment: You’re accountable for your safety & the safety of your team members. Take proper precautions to insure no one gets hurt. Follow environment, health & safety standards/procedures & promote positive, proactive safety practices with your team.
  •  Training: Train/Develop on machine/equipment setup & operations. Share best practices with your team & perform updates to safety, quality & standard work procedures.          

Required Education and Experience

  • 2 year associate Degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, automation or manufacturing technology or 5+ years of manufacturing experience required
  • 2+ years manufacturing or maintencance experience desired
  • Experience in troubleshooting of PLC system (Rockwell) desired
  • Machinist experience desired


Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical or manufacturing technology
  • Sense of urgency to resolve issues
  • Ability to operate both manual and automated industrial machinery
  • Ability to troubleshoot / improve automated, electrical and mechanical systems
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
