About the Position:

As a Commercial Fleet Sales Specialist for The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, the primary responsibility will be to drive new tire, retread, and solution sales to end-user Fleet customers in a rapidly growing market. The incumbent will be expected to build relationships with local dealerships that will support growing local fleet sales. This is a high-performance sales role where earnings are directly tied to sales performance, with a competitive salary and commission paid per tire sold. The associate will work with the Senior Commercial Account Manager and local dealerships to identify target accounts, work through the sales process to close new business for the assigned territory, and foster those relationships for future sales.

 

Primary Responsibilities:I-JK1

  • Sales and Prospecting: Actively identify and prospect new customers to increase new tire, retread, and solutions fleet sales in the designated territory
  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate programs and pricing with customers to close sales, ensuring a mutually beneficial agreement to provide a positive return on investment
  • Customer Support: Provide post-sale support, including assisting with product inquiries, issue resolution, product survey's and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings, performance benefits, and market advantages to effectively present to clients
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term relationships with customers by providing excellent service and support to drive repeat business
  • Sales Targets: Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, with compensation tied to individual sales performance (per unit sold)
  • Reporting: Keep accurate and timely records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and inventory status. Provide regular updates to the Sales Manager or Team Lead

 

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of degree 7 or more years of experience in business-to-business sales
  • 2 or more years of proven experience in business-to-business sales, ideally within the automotive or tire industry

 

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Master's degree
  • Background in commission-based sales
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills to effectively engage customers and present product information
  • Ability to work independently, set personal sales goals, and take ownership of achieving goals
  • Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to build lasting relationships and offer tailored solutions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented market with the ability to adapt strategies as needed
  • Basic proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) software, spreadsheets, and other sales technology
