About the Position
This role will serve as a trusted advisor for strategic national fleets delivering innovative business solutions and coordinating efforts with stakeholders to sell Goodyear Commercial products and services while meeting end user fleet expectations. Responsible for the customer interface at the leadership level to foster strong relationships, ensure effective communication and profitable growth of our products aligned with overall business strategy. This includes a consultative sales approach to implement best in practice solutions as the resource expert for assigned accounts.
The Strategic Fleet Manager will be responsible for leading and executing the strategy for effective operations and strong partnership with the key strategic customers in their division.
Primary Responsibilities
- Account Management of strategic customers. Lead development of key initiatives to help customers improve their running cost and work with them to execute the plan. Build strong relationships with all levels within the strategic fleet organizations.
- Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs on an on-going basis.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and other support and management resources to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations. Work with customers leadership to ensure optimal execution of programs, implement corrective actions and maintain expectations in accordance with established processes.
- Develop/Implement a sales strategy (includes service/growth) and all necessary programs for measurement and follow-up designed to achieve AOP targets. Work to drive innovative solutions to provide best in class service and sales to strategic customers.
- Analyze and provide accurate internal data such as forecasting, weekly estimates and competitive information. Monitor and analyze business on a continuous basis and implement necessary improvement actions. Ensure policies and standards (both internal and external) are observed. Provide detail sales analysis and profitability reviews to leadership on an ongoing basis.
Required Education and Experience
- 5 or more years of experience with a Bachelors Degree; or in lieu of degree at least 10 years experience
- 5 or more years of experience in B2B Sales, managing strategic customers or related experience
- Prior experience working with large fleet operations - with an understanding of how they work, and comfortable communicating to all levels of the organization
- Previous experience working with senior leadership levels within customer organizations
Desired Skills and Abilities
- Master's Degree in business or related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong customer relationships

- Strong professional assertiveness coupled with listening, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to identify key problems, develop corrective actions & effectively implement creative and innovative solutions
