About the Position:

The Maintenance Specialist ensures resources are properly coordinated to support the safe and efficient completion of maintenance work orders and tasks.  The incumbent will manage the work order system (SAP-PM), Preventative Maintenance program, planned outages, and planning and scheduling of normal maintenance tasks.  He/She provides the necessary engineering and maintenance support to the Production Organization in order to promote the production of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost.


Primary Responsibilities:

•    Maximize maintenance department effectiveness by planning maintenance work and assisting in the coordination/completion of work orders. 
•    Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans.
•    Coordinates preventative maintenance planning, execution, and tracks to completion.
•    Performs administrative responsibilities to include regular back log status reports, weekly forecast of maintenance work reports, daily reports of completed work.
•    Work closely with Operations, Reliability Engineer, Maintenance Coordinators, Hourly Planners and Engineering to prioritize projects and work orders. 
•    Provide mechanical and/or electrical expertise. 


Required Education and Experience:

•    BS degree or in lieu of degree 7 or more years of relevant work experience as an Engineer, Millwright or Electrician.
•    2 or more years of experience in Engineering/Maintenance Management (in an Industrial Environment).
•    SAP-PM (Preventive maintenance) experience required.
•    Experience working with multi-disciplinary Technical Associates - To achieve cost-effective goals.
•    Experience in Problem-Solving Techniques (DMAIC, A3) - Desired.
•    Experience with Plant Optimization/Operational Excellence - Desired.
•    Experience coordinating maintenance activities/projects/jobs from planning parts and equipment from start to finish.
•    Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).


Skills and Abilities:

•    Ability to coordinate cross-functional work groups to achieve departmental Objectives, Goals and Timelines.
•    Strong Organization, Communication, Technical, Analytical, Planning and Scheduling skills.
•    Ability to understand Plant Layouts, Capital Estimating, and Manufacturing Equipment Processes.
•    Demonstrated Leadership and Team-Building skills. 
•    Intimate knowledge of Maintenance Best Practices, Predictive Maintenance Concepts/Planning/Scheduling Functionality.
