Primary purpose of the position:

  • Develop Best In Class Pricing knowledge, regarding BtoB (Sell in and out) and BtoC (online and offline) to understand price trends in the market and to enable fact based discussions with local management and region in order to ensure competitive pricing and price stability in the market.
  • Maintain and improve local pricing strategy and waterfall that supports our value proposition by country and customer channels, with focus on TMS and at least offsets raws and compliant with the guidelines of the Standard Practice Letter Pricing and other business policies.
  • Ensure the appropriate Pricing Knowledge for all employees, with a clear distinction regarding levels of knowledge needed by function. All employees to be aware of our Regional and Local Pricing Guidelines, our legal compliancy and act accordingly.
     

Tasks:

  • Continuously collect and analyze data regarding BtoB Sell In, BtoB Sell Out, BtoC for all TBU's to understand price trends in the market. Provide all stakeholders with monthly reports and have fact based discussions with TBU Manager and Pricing manager on recommendations regarding our price strategy and value proposition. Execute next steps on (cross business) implementation when appropriate. 
  • Provide efficient and to the point reports on Pricing KPI's and analyses, that support Pricing Team Leader and (Sales) Management in building and maintaining our Pricing Strategy and that enables fact based discussions with the Regional Team regarding the EU Strategy. Translate strategy to local tactics and make sure pricing is well implemented across the organization. Ensure the agreed and approved upon pricing guidelines are respected.
  • Develop partnership with Sales by facilitating the Sales Teams with customer specific analyses;  pro-active advise;  background info to decisions and possible alternatives (i.e. campaigns, waterfall movements) to deliver our value proposition and to drive demand for premium brands in strategic TMS segments and total.
  • Identify and Implement Operational Excellence opportunities to design more efficient and effective processes within the department and cross functional where pricing processes are affected.
  • Assist the Pricing Team Leader in developing training material and delivering regular training sessions towards various job levels in the organization.

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge in Excel 
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.

Bachelor required, master desired
