Senior Sales Manager Consumer The Netherlands

Primary purpose of the role

  • Implementation and management of sales strategy: selling and promoting products and services to current and future customers through assigned teams and within The Netherlands and for all Consumer channels. Support building sustainable, long-term relationships. Channel Management according to company's strategy.
  • Leading and developing a team of (Key) account managers and (senior) Sales representatives to achieve company objectives within assigned region.
  • Creation and implementation of sales value proposition and Sell out, Share of Market, DSO, S&OP metrics targets delivery.
  • Represent company internally and externally, for example during business & sales meetings.

 

Responsibilities

 

SALES MANAGEMENT:

  • Manage distribution channel and individual customers in responsibility through his team.
  • Deliver all required reports outside & inside organization (stock level, numeric and weighted distribution, market information & competition status, supply, finance)
  • Setting & execution of Sales Targets through his teams.
  • Management of local & regional projects. Execution of local & regional projects.
  • S&OP process: Effective support through active participation and data sharing & collection. Participation in Sales View and Industry View meetings.  Customer collaboration and proper market/sales estimation.

 

 

SALES & MARKETING:

  • Execution of company's strategy.
  • Achieve individual and team targets to maximize volume and market share at indirect customers, and high level of collaboration with wholesale channel to maximize sell out, Gross margin, volume.
  • Negotiate and manages annual & long-term contracts.
  • Monitor customer financial condition.
  • Support marketing campaigns including sell in & sell out campaigns, prepares events and training sessions with customers.

 

 

LEADING AND DEVELOPING SALES TEAMS:

  • Lead and coach his team of 5 direct report to deliver results.
  • Develop sales capabilities within team, region, and product groups.
  • Share best practices within and outside his team to support Company development and achieving long and short-term goals.
  • Build talent by mentoring and coaching, building succession plans, follow-up on performance ….

 

 

Profile

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of sales experience as Key account manager or Sales representative
  • Experience in customer relationship management: A to Z managing an assigned region.
  • Strong experience in people management (ca. 5 years). Extending coaching and leading skills
  • Strong ability to work in a Matrix organization
  • Experience in project management, in consulting projects, with setting an executing sales plan.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Strategic thinking and ability to balance long term objectives and short-term goals and tasks
  • Ability to lead and strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • Dynamic and self-motivated; high working capacity and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong Negotiation and planning skills
  • Good communication skills: presentation skills included.
  • Trilingual: Dutch, French and English
  • Good business acumen and judgment
  • Good Automotive industry knowledge: good Knowledge of products and their application.
  • Open to change and learning
