Job Title: Specialist Business Planning Consumer Europe North

Location: Belgium

Primary Purpose of the Position:

Lead short-midterm business planning process:

Drive a 50/50 balanced country demand forecast creation by providing fact-based sales assumptions and risks and opportunities, whilst constructively challenging received market & channel inputs. As the local ABP (Annual Business Plan) Process owner, provide the aggregated view of all moving elements and arguments for decision making at country and hub leadership level.

Drive plan sufficiency:

Providing pro-active guidance to country and hub leadership on accomplishment of short & midterm aligned business plans through Risks & Opportunities management (on aggregated and disaggregated level) and strategical/tactical analytics (industry/sales/shares triangulations) on all required levels of the aligned plan (channel, brand, season, segment, rim & new designs/white spot coverage).  Lead the Customer Level Planning process, ensuring that there is an aggregated view of the PBU MOR at Customer/Channel level supporting the ABP & AOP Processes.

Drive process and tools efficiency:

Using Continuous Improvement mindset, challenge existing planning processes, recommend leaner solutions, improve and automate essential activities whilst remaining focused on cross-functional and process excellence.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Assumption Based Planning (ABP):

  • Coordinate, challenge, consolidate and communicate all relevant market-back data to relevant stakeholders. Track, aggregate and communicate all the moving parts in the country FC for signoff in DSO/Sufficiency meetings, both assumptions in the plan, plus emerging risks & operations. Coordinate the disaggregation, communication and implementation of aligned outcomes accurately into the Market Level FC before PBU MOR deadline.
  • Drive continuous improvement of our bottom-up planning process. Follow up on target achievement of assumptions.

 

Sales Plan Sufficiency:

  • Connect to other departments (e.g., if needed, Demand Planning, MRI, Supply Planning, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Pricing, Product Marketing) to optimize the local business plans, processes & tools to drive sales plan sufficiency.
  • Install sufficiency operations and track sufficiency assumptions throughout the monthly planning cycles.  Bring any Gap to Target to the attention of the relevant stakeholders and work cross-functionally on solutions.

Driving the country sales mix:

Together with Product and Trade Marketing, drive the country mix (with dedicated focus on A-segment, Goodyear ≥19", Light Truck) and work closely with Sales Management to execute that plan using available tools (like assortment recommendation tool), with active follow-up on progress, tools usage, and further opportunities.

To join our team, you will need:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business- and/or economics-related sciences or comparable qualification.

Experience:

  • 5 years business experience.
  • Proven cross-functional experience with profound business experience in Sales, Demand Planning, Sales Operations, Supply Chain and/or MRI.
  • Strong business acumen and in-depth understanding of the industry by market, channels and segments.

Knowledge and Skills:

Technical

  • Excellent skills in MS Office (especially Excel / VBA).
  • Good skills in Data Warehouse Systems (EDW, SAP) preferred.

 Managerial

  • Leadership direct/indirect for interaction with cross-functional teams (local, hub, region).
  • High analytical competence and rational, cross-functional thinking.
  • High self-organization and ability to cope with pressure.

Communication

  • Fluent in English (written and oral), any additional language is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely.
  • Ability to translate complex business data into key insights and actionable options.
