Role

 

This role has primary plant responsibilities for audits, assessments, and evaluations, plant-wide, in driving performance
to product specifications (GQMTS, customer, etc) and quality systems (ISO, IATF, TS, QAI, QMS, etc).

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Auditor will interact at all levels of the plant's systems and people/resources. The
Quality Systems Auditor will establish, maintain and drive plant-wide auditing systems which incorporate sound Process
Control / Quality Assurance practices; as well as manage, direct and lead activities to investigate, formulate and
implement methods to improve and correct quality systems nonconformities and deficiencies.

 

The Quality Technical aspects of Goodyear tire manufacturing extends through most of the business. The successful
candidate’s role will extend to additional related projects, document control, program development, and the full
spectrum of quality assurance – including layered process audit administration.

 

Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
A successful candidate will have a strong and comprehensive background in auditing knowledge and techniques
(particularly with ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards), extensive knowledge of certification and manufacturing
processes, exceptional time and project management, excellent verbal and written skills - including interpersonal
abilities that foster successful and lasting learning opportunities with colleagues, proven abilities in associated software
programs (e.g. SAP, MS Access, Excel).
Ideally, the Auditor will have tire or automotive manufacturing experience, Quality Control Systems/Audit experience,

 

Professional auditor certification, as well as the ability to provide statistical and capability analysis:
• 1-3 years of previous operations experience with preference for prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Manufacturing experience desired.
• Solid analytical & research skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications as well as developed general software knowledge and capacity.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with solid verbal & written communication abilities.

 

Education & Certifications :
• Completed university or college degree/diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business or related
field.
• University/College education in Engineering or Applied Business is a preferred foundation for this role.
• Certification in manufacturing or process auditing a definite asset (additional or supplemental training will be
provided).
