IT Manager

The IT Manager provides leadership and direction to a Technical Team at our Goodyear Napanee plant. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall technology at the plant including delivering superior customer service, project delivery to meet objectives, and problem resolution to maintain plant operations. This is a Technical Leader role with the expectation you will function as a "working manager" when needed. 

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

• Successfully manage a team and perform hands on technical activities as needed in order to meet department objectivities and consumer needs.    
• Plan, coordinate, schedule assignments and projects with your team and participate in establishing project plans (strategic and tactical). Prioritize project plans based on business needs and availability of resources.
• Monitor project development and communicate project progression.  
• Perform managerial activities. Determine specific resources and skills required for on-going activities and provide leadership to staff all projects within area of responsibility.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business or in lieu of degree 11 years of IT experience
• 6 or more years of Technical experience in a variety of IT disciplines gaining a conceptual knowledge of Information Technologies and methodologies.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Advanced knowledge of IT field and in-depth knowledge and technical expertise of one specialty area.
• Desired: Masters Degree
• Good presentation skills, meeting leadership and facilities skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Have the necessary leadership, team building, motivation and delegation skills to efficiently coordinate the efforts of a team toward accomplishing a common goal.
