The IT Team Lead provides leadership and direction to a technical team at our Goodyear Napanee plant as well as "hands on" support of the full stack environement. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall technology at the plant including; delivering customer service, project delivery, and hands on problem resolution as needed to maintain plant operations. In this Technical Team Leader role, you will be expected to function as a "working manager" and possess the willingness to learn technologies as needed. 

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Successfully manage a team and perform hands on technical activities as needed in order to meet department objectivities and consumer needs.    
  • Plan, coordinate, schedule assignments and projects with your team and participate in establishing project plans (strategic and tactical). Prioritize project plans based on business needs and availability of resources.
  • Monitor project development and communicate project progression.  
  • Perform managerial activities. Determine specific resources and skills required for on-going activities and provide leadership to staff all projects within area of responsibility.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business or in lieu of degree 11 years of IT experience
  • 6 or more years of Technical experience in a variety of IT disciplines gaining a conceptual knowledge of Information Technologies and methodologies.

  • Advanced knowledge of IT field and in-depth knowledge and technical expertise of one specialty area.
  • Desired: Masters Degree
  • Good presentation skills, meeting leadership and facilities skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have the necessary leadership, team building, motivation and delegation skills to efficiently coordinate the efforts of a team toward accomplishing a common goal.#
