Primary Responsibilities:

  • Direct and lead the implementation and ongoing execution of safety, quality, cost, and delivery initiatives to support the Goodyear Napanee Organization with the goal to continuously improve upon operating results to further enhance our customers' total quality experience.
  • Manage the daily and longer-term activities of the following teams:
        o Preventative Maintenance team (plantwide)
        o Drum Booth team
        o Alignment team
        o Maintenance Support Coordinators
        o Maintenance Trainers
        o Lubrication Technicians
  • Support attainment of Daily Equipment Care Step #3 and Reliability Excellence Step #2 in Model and Replicated Machines.
  • Drive the 8 Competencies of Reliability Excellence (RE), starting with Lubrication Excellence and Preventative Maintenance activities:
         o Daily Equipment Care support
         o Preventative maintenance
         o Lubrication management
         o Maintenance team skills enhancement
         o Predictive maintenance
         o Maintenance cost management
         o Spare parts management
         o Zero failure activities 
  • Work in partnership with A/B and C/D on-shift maintenance business leaders and other managers and team members to support plant operations and maximize performance towards key performance indicators (KPI's).
  • Provide leadership, supervision, coordination, and management of team members including the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team's activities.
  • Develop and manage team members to build their capability and performance to maximize individual and team potential.
  • Achieve and sustain business results by leading and directing team efforts to accomplish customer and business plan performance goals.
    Identify and facilitate the removal of barriers that impact team success (e.g., equipment breakdowns, staffing, team issues).



  • Certificate in a technical field (electrical or mechanical) required; Technical or engineering diploma / degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years technical experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years management experience
  • Personal computer skills in a networked environment (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)
  • Candidates must be highly energized and self-motivated with experience working with teams to implement change and be adept at communicating with all levels within Napanee.
  • Flexible in order to respond to the needs of the plant and your assignments must be prioritized in order to support the 24/7 operation.
