Minimum qualifications – Bachelor’s degree or three year certificate in engineering, business management or related discipline.

 

Goals of MLDP Program:

 

  • Gain knowledge and an understanding of the plant’s entry level management opportunity.
  • Attain a well rounded knowledge base for effective decision making.
  • Acquire basic leadership competencies for entry level positions.

 

Structure of MLDP Program :

 

  • Shadow a Process engineer, Health and Safety Manager, Plant Optimization Leader and Business Leader for 3 month assignments to be educated in their roles and perform hands on learning activities as directed.
  • Involvement in Plant Optimization projects
  • Learn problem solving and continuous improvement methods relative to that portion of the business quarter.
  • Write reports to demonstrate knowledge of the plant’s manufacturing processes, the roles and responsibilities of the support functions, and the technical knowledge of equipment and processes in a specific area.
  •  Perform a challenge assignment in each of the designated positions.
  • Complete designated management and leadership courses for entry level managers.

 

At the successful conclusion of the first year of the MLDP program, the candidate would then be typically assigned to a one year assignment as a Shift Operations Manager.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or three year certificate in engineering, business management or related discipline.
  • Must be geographically mobile upon completion of the two year program.
  • Candidates should be highly energized and self-motivated with experience working with teams to implement change and be adept at communicating with all levels to get everyone on board.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Personal computer skills in a networked environment.

 

Preference will be given to those candidates who have a demonstrated history of successfully leading and facilitating changes in a 24/7 operation that involve all levels of employees with measurable results. Proven ability to lead associates through coaching and mentoring.
