Network Analyst

Position Description:  

The Network Analyst works independently or leads Cross-Functional Groups (may be Multi-National) of Technical Associates to design, implement and support complex Cisco Product multi-disciplinary functional solutions in support of Goodyear’s LAN / Wireless . This individual leads efforts in the Research and Development of new Network and/or Systems Technologies to fulfill specific internal customer needs and compares multiple solutions, provides investment analysis, recommends appropriate Technology changes and pioneers the deployment of new Technologies and Solutions.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provide architecture and strategy recommendations to guide the LAN / Wireless / Firewall
  • Provide expert consultation to other Applications or Infrastructure Groups on the interaction of Networks and Networking Systems on Business Functions and/or IT Systems. 
  • Manage complex and multi-disciplinary projects within area of specialization and across Functional Groups.  
  • Provide multiple solutions to business problems - Leverages data to justify and recommend the appropriate Networking improvements that leverage new or existing technologies.
  • Participate in an Emergency On-Call Rotation for after-hours and weekend support. Flexible schedules and 24x7 support availability (generally scheduled in advance) may be required as necessary to support the technical needs of our customers


Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business or in lieu of degree 8 years of IT experience
  • Masters’ degree desired
  • 3 or more years of experience in the work field involving 1 or more of the following: Cisco LAN Networking, Cisco Wireless, Cisco Firewall
  • ITIL certification is an asset

  • Ability to energize and lead Technical Teams.
  • Ability to travel, including international locations. Travel should not exceed one week per month. Emergency and on call service support.
