We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our Demand Planning team at Goodyear. This individual will play a key role in analyzing and forecasting demand patterns, optimizing inventory, and ensuring smooth supply chain operations. You will work closely with the supply chain, sales, and marketing teams to ensure that demand planning processes are driven by accurate data insights and predictive analytics.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Demand Forecasting:
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and other factors to develop accurate demand forecasts for various products and regions.
- Develop and maintain statistical models and demand planning tools to predict future demand and identify trends.
- Assist in the creation of short-term and long-term demand forecasts, ensuring that they align with company objectives and market conditions.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to uncover insights related to demand patterns, seasonality, product performance, and market dynamics.
- Generate and deliver regular reports on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supply chain performance to key stakeholders (supply chain, sales, finance).
- Monitor demand and supply variations, providing actionable insights to mitigate potential risks.
Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
- Work closely with supply chain, marketing, sales, and finance teams to align demand planning with business strategies, promotions, and seasonal fluctuations.
- Act as a data expert in demand planning meetings, providing data-backed insights and recommendations for inventory and production strategies.
Optimization of Inventory Levels:
- Support inventory management by analyzing stock levels and ensuring optimal inventory to meet customer demand while minimizing overstock and stockouts.
- Recommend adjustments to inventory strategies based on demand trends, seasonality, and product lifecycle
Tool & Process Development:
- Continuously evaluate and improve demand planning tools, processes, and methodologies.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of demand planning software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to integrate new data sources into demand planning
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Track key performance metrics such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, demand variability, and order fulfillment rates.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor and report on KPIs to ensure the business is on track with demand planning goals
Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze root causes of demand forecast errors and collaborate with relevant teams to improve accuracy.
- Implement best practices and innovative approaches in demand planning and forecasting.
