Position Overview:
Goodyear India is seeking a results-driven and strategic National Sales Manager – Farm Replacement Sales to lead and grow its farm tire replacement business across India. This role is critical in driving rural market penetration, expanding dealer networks, and delivering sustainable volume and margin growth in the agricultural tire segment. The successful candidate will bring deep market knowledge, strong leadership, and a passion for working closely with channel partners and rural customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales & Business Development
- Define and implement national sales strategies to grow the farm replacement tire business across all key rural and semi-urban markets.
- Monitor evolving market dynamics, crop cycles, and government policies to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Supply Chain teams to drive Goodyear’s brand relevance in the farm segment.
Channel & Rural Distribution Management
- Strengthen and expand the rural dealer network, ensuring high availability and visibility of Goodyear farm tires.
- Identify, appoint, and nurture high-potential channel partners in untapped territories.
- Oversee dealer onboarding, training, pricing, credit management, and incentive programs.
Team Leadership
- Lead a team of Regional Sales Managers, Territory Managers, and Field Executives focused on farm tire sales.
- Foster a high-performance culture by setting clear goals, driving accountability, and developing talent.
- Conduct regular market visits, ride-alongs, and channel partner meets to stay close to field realities.
P&L & Operational Management
- Own the P&L for the farm replacement business, driving profitability, revenue, and volume growth.
- Manage sales forecasting, inventory planning, and logistics coordination with internal teams.
- Ensure effective use of trade schemes, market development funds, and ROI-focused initiatives.
Customer & Farmer Engagement
- Support farmer outreach and education initiatives through field demos, training, and agri-events.
- Build long-term trust with end users by promoting Goodyear’s value proposition in farm productivity, tire life, and ROI.
- Handle escalated customer issues and ensure resolution in coordination with customer service and technical teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 15+years of experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales role in farm equipment, agri-inputs, FMCD or rural automotive sales.
- Strong knowledge of India’s agricultural landscape, rural channel dynamics, and crop-based seasonality.
- Experience working with rural distributor/dealer networks is essential.
