Primary Purpose of the Role:
The QA Engineer ensures product and process quality for Aviation and Consumer tires in line with customer, regulatory, and internal standards. Responsibilities include conducting audits from raw materials to finished goods, identifying gaps, driving effective countermeasures, and supporting continuous improvement to prevent nonconformities.
Job responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits from raw material, in-process production and finished product for WBR and Aero product.
- Document and report audit findings accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation , including inspection procedures , work instruction and records
- To ensure that Aero New and Retread Tire Quality management system are compliance with Goodyear GQMTS, PPQ audit, FAA, CAAC, CAAS DGCA, Thai DCA and EASA
- Check compliance against Goodyear quality global procedure and regulatory standard.
- Support investigation of quality issues to determine root cause
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective action and preventive action
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve product and process quality.
- Support QA Shift Auditor daily work and archive 100% customer satisfaction.
- Leading PDI inspector daily work for 1st shipment/special requirement, ensure tire delivery on time.
- Maintain and monitor all report related by QA Shift Auditor and PDI inspector (e.g.: PDI report, Tire Weight,
- Appearance Grading and Product Audit, 1st Tire Check, Mold Condition Check online etc.)
- DOT tire testing lab and Burst test
- Ensure Compliance with ISO/IATF 16949, Goodyear Quality standard and Customer requirement.
- Ensure traceability of product and process documentation for Aero and consumer tires
- Prepare and present audit reports to QA management and production teams.
- To cooperate plant audit, include IATF16949/CCC both WBR and AERO authority. product/system audit and internal audit.
- Work with team to establish and maintain quality standards by utilizing daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly product audits.
- Work closely with manufacturing and engineering team to resolve quality issues and improve process capability
- To cooperate and optimize Quality Management System when it is needed. (Customer Special Requirements, Legal, Goodyear GMS/QAI, Region Input) and Update correlative procedure in time when necessary. (MR/SWI etc.)
- To cooperate Plant Document Review yearly and lead QA related, supply chain, field related in Compliant Pro system
- Monthly warehouse and OQL audit
- Coordinate customer visits and auidts
- Coordinate competitor tire analysis.
- Leading and preparing all kinds of monthly or weekly reports (QI report, Tire Weight Report etc.)
- OT/leave application for QA Shift Auditor/PDI and maintain attendance in Kronos System as timekeeper
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. Additional certifications in Quality Management , Aviation Standards ( AS9100) or Six Sigma are an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Quality Assurance , preferably in tyre manufacturing or automotive / aviation industries.
- Experience in handling customer complaints and applying root cause analysis techniques
- Familiarity with aviation tyre regulatory requirements ( EASA , FAA ) and consumer tyre OEM quality standards
- Quality system management experience and internal audit experience
- Proficient in quality tools such as 8D, 5 whys, Fishbone Diagram, SPC, MSA etc
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100 and OEM specific quality systems
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Leadership and people management skill
- Good English in written and oral
- Good computer skill (Excel,word,PPT etc)
