Primary Purpose of the Position

  • As a leader, and with safety being one of Goodyear's most important values, all actions and decisions must support a "zero accident - absolute safety" focus and culture.
  •  Provide technical expertise and functional experience to ensure product quality, quality systems integrity, process capability, waste improvement, and other areas of continuous improvement aligned with the targets and goals of the team.
  •  Implement & industrialize new products and processes; and respond to quality and technical problems.
  •  Work in a team environment with People Leader, Process Specialist and Reliability Specialist to deliver team KPIs.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Development, improvement, and maintenance of quality-related documentation (ex: control plan, FMEA, process capability studies). - Work with DEC and RE pillars to build the right systems for quality and waste - Work with CSD pillar on the proper and successful implementation of the systems
  •  Product industrialization and continuous improvement of product specification.
  •  Drive process capability improvement activities; drive KPI performance.
  •  Develop the right troubleshooting for uniformity and OE yield improvement (Consumer tires)
  •  Lead and motivate the monitors and technicians on problem solving and skill improvement.
  • Take the lead on OEM and internal audits.

 

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent degree
  •  At least 3 years experience in driving and implementing continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
  •  Working knowledge and/or experience in implementing Lean principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of human-related implementation issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of tools used in Lean (5S, PULL SYSTEMS, KAIZEN Events, SMED, DMAIC, DEC).
  • Computer literate.
  •  Ability to direct cross-functional working groups.
  • Very good communication skills, good command of English and local languag
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skill
