Primary Purpose

 

Provide financial reporting and tax services and ensure solid business control and compliance environment for all operations in Thailand.

Maintain accounting records, external and internal financial reporting in Thailand and US GAAP.  Compliance with Thailand accounting and tax legislation and also USA Sarbanes – Oxley regulations.

Establish visibility and presence within the organization to communicate strong tone at the top relative to the internal control environment. This includes providing periodic training to non-finance managers in the organization.

Take leadership role in providing financial and technical accounting advice to all departments to ensure compliance with all external and internal requirements including new accounting announcements / introductions

Proactively partnering with the Leadership Team and FPA team to ensure the Country, PBU and SBU finance goals and objectives are achieved.

Providing analytical support, strategic financial insight and perspective and commercially focused mindset

 

Job Responsibility

 

1)     Maintaining a Solid Control Environment

• Sarbanes-Oxley

• Standard reporting aligned with FP&A

• Timely and accurate financial reporting

• Accountability for accurate, timely reporting to the SBU, including non-financial data

 

2)     Driving Business Performance

• Active participation at joint Controller/FD conferences or conference calls

• Support positions/business decisions that maximize operating performance or cash flow

• Leverage IT systems and processes

• Partner with the businesses to provide visibility to data and analysis

• Basic training on the impact accounting standards have on actions taken by business

 

3)     Leadership Development

• Succession planning for associates on a 1, 3, and 5-year horizon

• Require greater participation of accounting personnel with other functional groups

• Set a defined level of expectation and goals to be achieved

 

4)     Support external relate parties and compliance all regulation

• Prepare Financial Statement and requirement data to SET.

• Compliance and support information as requirement from government agencies

• Coordinate and support with external auditor for audit, review and prepare financial statement quarterly informal and semi-annual formal reviews for associates

 

Job Qualifications

 

  • At least with Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, Master’s degree is a plus
  • At least 7 years experiences in accounting field
  • At least 4 years experience in management level
  • CPD license is required, CPA license would be an advantage
  • Knowledgeable of US GAAP or IFRS, SOX and BOI experience would be preferable
  • Experience in financial controls, compliance, manufacturing and cost accounting are a must 
  • Possesses strong leadership and tactical skill especially in managing people at the same level or higher
  • Good Communication in English and proficiency in Microsoft office
