About the Position

The Blimp Office Administrator is a key contributor to the success of the base operations for Goodyear Airships in Pompano Beach Florida.  Specifically, this role will provide the necessary administrative assistance for the operations of the hanger including maintaining critical records and filings as well as flight and maintenance logs.  Functioning as the on-site representative to guests for the iconic Blimp and providing Public Relations support tasks for local community relationships is key to the success of this role as well as assisting the Public Relations specialist in tracking, quantifying, and reporting on all Public Relations elements. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare, audit, and maintain airship records and files including, daily flight/maintenance and activity logs, helium usage, maintaining vehicle road tax reports, daily/weekly records of hours worked by the crew.
  • Assist the Public Relations Manager in scheduling rides for invited guests functioning as a local extension to the PR team.
  • Greet guests and visitors to the base as a key member of the iconic Goodyear team. Serve as an on-site representative to a variety of programming partners.  Assist in the implementation of community relations programs surrounding the blimp, aimed at expanding awareness and appreciation for the Goodyear brand. 
  • Provide base management with administrative and clerical assistance as needed.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of general experience preferable in administrative support role.

 

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge and understanding of office and administrative procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong organizational skills.
