Cost Accountant

Responsibilities:

• In charge of overall conversion cost booking & monitoring:

1. Post, review and ensure accuracy in daily and monthly plant conversion cost booking.
2. Make sure the month end closing completed within 1st working day.
3. Analyze the monthly conversion cost variance to make sure the variance is reasonable.
4. Provide the analysis for the conversion cost related report to production team and support operation team on costing control.           
5. Make sure the Schedule conversion cost update for all the WIP and FG completed timely.     

• Perform other plant costing related accounting reporting & analysis:

1. Work with the EHS team and production team to provide the accurate waste report.
2. Perform the quarterly plant stocktaking & deep dive on root cause of variances.
3. Perform monthly account reconciliation & various BS related analysis.

• Ensure proper system & process control of plant costing and support audit needs:

1. Partner with IT team & business data owners to solve costing issues.
2. Monitor input by GBS and other accounting team members to ensure accurate exp booking.
3. Work with Internal control team, IA team and PWC team for audit closure & control improvement.
4. Ad hoc tasks assigned by costing manager or function leaders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or above degree in finance or accounting.

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, Big 4 experience preferred.

• Must have plant or manufacturing costing experience.

• Hands-on experience in transaction booking & monthly closing, SAP experience preferred.

• Experience in business partnering and multi-national company is preferred.

• Practical accounting knowledge of PRC GAAP & US GAAP.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills must be fluent in English (verbal & written).

• Great can-do attitude.

• Open to new challenges & desire to learn.

• Adaptive to monthly closing cycle (late night cycles).
