Job Requirements:
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics or any related fields is required (Master’s Degree in Engineering, Physics or any related fields is desired)
• Computer design and modeling experience desired (Catia V5, Solidworks or similar)
• Product design experience desired
• Knowledge in Statistical tools (e.g. minitab), basic programing (e.g. VBA) is an asset
• Knowledgeable in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Ability to define and execute projects within a multi-cultural team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be proficient in both Chinese and English languages
• Korean and Japanese language proficiency is an asset but not required
Job Responsibilities:
• Product development and improvement:
- Uses tire engineering design standards to develop new products and support Applied and Functional projects
- Supports implementation of new products in production and maintenance activities
- Improves and enhances problem solving strategies
• Process:
- Understands, follows and applies the Global Design standards
- Makes improvements to or enhances current processes and tools within a functional group
• Technology:
- Implements the latest technologies in product development to ensure premium performance
- Improves and enhances documentation of the created knowledge
• Standards:
- Ensures product conformity to internal, external and legal standards.
- Knows, improves and enhances design guidelines/standards and best practices
