People Development Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Build skills, capabilities and talent bench strength. Coordinate and support recruitment and selection processes, including early talent, ensuring the best-suited candidates are selected for vacant positions. Establish and manage the training strategy in the plant, plan and control budget for people development.
  • Lead and strengthen the Talent Management processes /guidelines provided by country/regional HR/COE in conjuntion with the plant leaders. Where applicable, this could include Performance Management (PMP), Individual Development Plan (IDP), Succession Plans, identifying high-potential team members, correspondent acceleration programs, and competency framework, etc.
  • Successfully deploy local programs and projects, such as Employer Branding initiatives, team member assessments, training programs for all assocaites, and leadership development programs.
  • Design, implement and support learning programs that develop the talent in the organization such as high potential programs, Plant Optimization, global English, internship program, on-boarding/induction program among others.
  • Track and report defined metrics that build accountability, measure results, and optimize the impact of the strategic talent management function. When applicable, responsible to ensure hourly and contractor training activities, documents and data management for Customer audits regarding people skills certifications and training take place.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree in Management, Human Resources, Psychology or a related field.
  • 5+ years of generalist experience in Human Resources and Talent Management/Training.
  • 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with country or region specific labor relations preferred.
  • Demonstrated, measurable improvements in staffing, people development, talent management & training.
  • Ability to design, implement training curricula.
  • Strong teaching & facilitation skills.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills and mentality.
  • Courageous and willing to make decisions.
  • Collaborative style and ability to influence.
  • Open minded, pro-active and able to drive change.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to deal with multiple and/or conflicting priorities.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Fluent in English.
