• Product development and improvement:

- Develop new products (tread/cavity) following standards, according to priorities and performance objectives agreed on and using experimental as well as predictive approaches.

- Support implementation of new products in production and maintenance activities.

- Ensure all related aspects (tread & cavity, manufacturing, ...) are taken into account during the development phase.

- Coaches others in recognition and identification of problems.


• Process:

- Learn, understand and apply the Global Design and Release Process.

- Identify and Communicate any process and tool improvement items.

- Coaches others on processes and tools within functional group.


• Technology:

- Implements and coaches on usage of latest technologies in product development to ensure premium performance.

- Drives and coaches others on documentation of the created knowledge.


• Standards:

- Ensure product conformity to internal, external and legal standards.

- Apply design guidelines/standards & best practices.

- Identify, communicate, and lead any guidelines/standards & best practices improvement items.

- Coach others on guidelines/standards and best practices.



• Masters study in Mechanical Engineering or Physics.

• Product Design Experience.

• CAD/CAM experience.

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience.

• Desired project management experience.

• Statistical tools.

• MS Office (World, Excel, Power Point).

• VBA is an asset.

• SAP is an asset.

• Ability to define and execute projects.

• Ability to work in a multi-cultural team, as well as independently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Sense of responsibility and urgency.

• Stress resistant and flexible.

• Showing initiative – Being proactive.

• Willing to travel.
