About the role

The Product & Pricing Manager is accountable for contributing to the achievement of GDT's performance targets and profitability, through ensuring product portfolio placement & pricing strategies match market requirements, business outcomes and support customer needs.

 

Reporting into the Finance Director ANZ, this role is responsible for:

 

  • Ensure the development of a high-performance product and pricing team through the leadership and development of highly informed, qualified and motivated associates.
  • Lead the management of GDT product and pricing portfolios to ensure products deliver financial performance and strategic value to the business
  • Providing leadership and strategic planning input into future product and profit opportunities
  • Lead the planning process for developing and managing GDT's tyre products, value propositions and pricing ranges
  • Driving sales performance by providing trade marketing, pricing specials, specialist training and communication support to the business sales teams
  • Monitoring and reporting on market and competitive changes that influence product portfolio and/or the organisations strategic and tactical planning
  • Management of product & marketing support roles

 

About You

Experienced in pricing and/or product management, your natural ability to see the bigger picture will enable you to take control and accountability of product and pricing strategies for a national business. You will implement strategies aligned with the overarching strategy of each BU and designed to maximize profitability to the way the product portfolios are managed.

 

Your communications skills will enable you to work closely with other business functions, stakeholders and customers across all levels. You can manage large volumes of data in developing key insights that influence decision making and help others understand the reason for those decisions.

 

You will have the following experience;

  • Degree in business or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a comparable level role in either Product or Pricing, at a strategic level
  • Minimum of 10 years industry experience with specific Product/Pricing/Marketing experience
  • Proven track record of managing and mentoring team members
  • Previous product and pricing management experience
  • Retail/Consumer understanding
  • Automotive and/or related retail industry
