Operations Manager -Assets - Australia and New Zealand

About the role

Reporting to the ANZ Supply Chain Director, you will be an Executive Leader who will support the business to make appropriately informed decisions to optimise our supplier relationships and manage the company’s assets- property &  Operational, which includes a comprehensive national range of retail stores, warehousing network and operational equipment throughout Australia and New Zealand. This position is also equally responsible for overseeing the lease administration of the Fleet vehicles.

You will have a key role in monitoring costs and pricing through strategic sourcing and have an oversight of the Asset Management Process to ensure we are driving optimal solutions, managing and controlling our assets, and looking for opportunities to reduce fixed and variable overheads in this category.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Team leadership and development
  • Management of the Property Portfolio- making recommendations, negotiations for lease renewals, new developments & divestments
  • Proactive management of vendors, particularly managing adherence to compliance of contracts
  • Oversee the management of the fleet vehicle program
  • Manage the capital expenditure and maintenance budgets for the store network, plant and equipment, motor vehicle fleet including leased and company owned passenger vehicles/Utes, mobility and service trucks, and forklifts


About You

As a self-motivated professional, you will be experienced in property, asset and fleet management for a multi-site retail & warehouse network. You will also have a sound understanding of property leases & corporate maintenance contracts. As a strong communicator, you will have exceptional verbal and written skills to engage with both internal teams and senior management as well as external providers, landlords and agents. Above all you will display a high level of integrity and ability to make sound decisions.
