Demand Planning Analyst - Contract

Maternity leave contract role to assist the Demand planning team with Analysis and reporting to ensure the success of our wholesale and retail networks across Australia and New Zealand

  • Focus on improving forecast accuracy and analytical requirements of the demand planning team
  • Exposure and understanding of all areas of supply chain within a large global brand
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
  • Must have advanced level of Excel and exposure to SAP BI

This is a great opportunity to join our Supply Chain team as the Supply Chain Analyst based in our Richmond office supporting our retail and wholesale network across Goodyear & Dunlop in Australia and New Zealand by providing a statistic-centric approach.

In this position you will have a variety of responsibilities to add value to management and the wider Supply Chain team including;

• Create and enhance time-series models to predict customer requirements in monthly buckets for the next 18 months


• Review statistically generated demand forecasts and manage statistical parameters


• Review monthly accuracy and bias metrics and adjust models to reduce error


• Super-User at collating and analysing various sources of data and assist Demand Planning team to build reports and

   capabilities that require advanced support

• Process map and document workflows and create Standard operating procedure with the Demand planning team


• Ad hoc support to the Demand planning team in collating data for presentations



To be successful in this position you will need to have the following skills and attributes to help us continually improvement the supply chain process;

• Experience working in Supply Chain and/or Consumer Goods preferred


• Understand forecasting concepts, models, and statistical techniques


• Experience building time series models


• SAP ECC / SCM APO Demand Planning / BI / BW


• Advanced level in Excel and other MS office tools.


• Good time management and organisational skills.


• Strong analytical skills with ability to independently conduct in-depth data analysis with logical and value-added


• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
