AndGo by Goodyear operates in over 15 cities in the United States (U.S.), with plans to further expand in the US and globally. AndGo is a platform enabled service that offers vehicle servicing to new mobility companies (e.g. car sharing, ride hailing, electric vehicles and autonomous mobility). In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for designing, engineering, and operating a new business for Goodyear.


Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA or REMOTE*
Compensation: Up to $150,000 + benefits 


Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with engineers on the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of important infrastructure services (i.e., logging, monitoring, and alerting)
  • Scoping of work, management of backlog and predictability of project delivery
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines while collaborating across teams to improve build, integration & release process
  • Design, build, and test scalable tools, frameworks, and processes to support our fast-growing business and team
  • Contribute to roadmap, schedule, and key release milestones across all projects
  • Work in Agile framework to identify and automate solutions that result in enhanced developer experience and increased developer productivity


Required Education and Experience 

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field required
    • Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field desired
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience; experience with Python & JavaScript preferred
    • Experience working on an Agile software development team desired


Skills and Abilities

  • Professional experience with managing application hosting in 1 or more cloud platforms (ideally Amazon Web Services)
  • System design experience - Developing hosting architectures and leveraging platform services effectively            
  • Strong technical, analytical, and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional emotional intelligence. Ability to influence and motivate people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationships.
