About the Position

The Designer will work on cross-functional teams to design/develop software applications and digital tools to meet AndGo objectives. This position apply/improve on known product design methods to deliver quality and scalable digital solutions Providing clarity to ambiguous design problems through user-insight, market analysis and stakeholder involvement. Additionally, the incumbent will coach others and ensure alignment with team members around decisions and the way forward.


AndGo by Goodyear operates in over 15 cities in the United States (U.S.), with plans to further expand in the US and globally. AndGo is a platform enabled service that offers vehicle servicing to new mobility companies (e.g. car sharing, ride hailing, electric vehicles and autonomous mobility). In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for designing, engineering and operating a new busines for Goodyear.


Primary Responsibilities

  • User Experience (UX)/User Interface (UI) Design - Assist in scoping/designing new features for digital products (design feature systems and visual design of interfaces) - Following standard product UX patterns/brand guides.
  • Help to conduct user-research and usability feedback in-person and digitally - Interpret research data/analytics to identify actionable insights.
  • Document product iterations and help to improve centralized product documentation (product requirements document).                               
  • Follow design practice standards/guidelines - Improve design competency within the Product team. Mentor/Guide other Design team members.
  • Perform innovation/competitive research and market mapping - Learning about the mobility space.


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Design or a related field required, Masters degree in Design or a related field desired
  • 4 or more years of experience working in Product Design - With experience in all the phases of the design process (from research, to concept generation and then to final design handoff)
  • Demonstrated experience in ideation and iterative design - Driving the creation of new product feature

Skills and Abilities

  • Passion for new technologies, solving problems and learning about how people interact with products
  • Interested in how design implications impact users’ experiences
  • “Full-stack” designer who collaborates in each phase of the design process (from research and concept generation, to final design handoff)
  • Ability to create design artifacts, communicate/work with Engineers and implement designs (as intended)
  • Receptive to critique from team members/customers and incorporates it into work
