AR Team Lead - Billing & Corrections

Primary Purpose of the Position

 

Provide leadership & direction to a diverse team of associates who have the functional & operational responsibility for key components in the accounts receivable/credit department.

 

The team leader is a self-starter & change agent with a focus on project management, problem diagnosis & resolution, root cause analysis, and process improvements & implementations.

 

The team leader is responsible for managing & developing a team.

 

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Effectively & efficiently manage Accounts Receivable functions in order to meet the department’s objectives & customer needs. Track team performance against KPIs.
  • Collaborate with internal IT resources and Continuous Improvement teams to research & proactively recommend tools, ideas & new technology to improve existing process in order to meet demands.
  • Develop associates by transferring knowledge on AR & order to cash operations & business needs.
  • Take a substantial role in projects related to Billing/Corrections and coordinate significant team involvement with their design, testing and implementation.       

 

Required Education and Experience

 

  • Required: Candidates must have a 4 year Degree in accounting or finance or other business related Degree.
  • CPA and/or MBA or other advanced Degree desired.
  • Problem solving experience 2-3 years.
  • Experience working in customer service oriented environment.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, high stress environment.
  • Accounting &/or purchasing experience highly desirable.
  • Prior experience leading a team highly desirable.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Ability to analyze issues & determine fixes.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Must be a self-starter with attention to detail.
