Accountant Senior - Intercompany Billing

Primary Purpose of the Position
Responsible for the execution of all IBS (Intercompany Billing System)/intercompany related tasks including the daily transmission (or cabling) of IBS/Intercompany data to/from Head Office, coordinating with other Goodyear counterparties and issues resolution. Responsible for identifying gaps and creating efficiencies in the process for continuous improvement. Responsible to back-up STL/TL on the overall operational delivery of the team.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Back-up TL/STL for issue resolutions review and other special tasks.
- Perform/lead special projects.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of all entries in the cluster.
- Monitor Manual adjustments of the cluster to ensure there will be no OOB during consolidation.
- Record Transactions:

- Perform all daily IBS/Intercompany tasks in compliance with accounting policies (with accuracy and on timely basis) such as:
- Processing of inbound cables (i.e. receiving IBS/Intercompany data from Head Office)
- Processing of outbound cables (i.e. sending IBS/Intercompany data to Head Office)
- Liaise with IBS associates from other GY locations in terms of obtaining IBS/Intercompany related documents (e.g. invoices) and addressing inquiries
- Perform all daily IBS/Intercompany tasks in compliance with accounting policies (with accuracy and on timely basis) such as:
- Analyze and Reconcile Accounts:

- Perform all month-end IBS/Intercompany closing activities in compliance with accounting policies (with accuracy and focus on timely delivery of results) such as:

- Clearing of open-items in IBS/Intercompany accounts
- Revaluation and Reclassification
- Posting of month-end entries

- Perform Financial and Regulatory Reporting:

- Prepare and submit periodic financial and regulatory reports
- Review periodic financial and regulatory reports
Required Education and Experience
- Required: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business field.
- Desired: Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 5 to 6 years' experience, preferably in intercompany accounting, or a Senior Bookkeeper with relevant qualifications.
- General Ledger journals and reconciliations of intercompany balances.
- Knowledge of Microsoft PC applications.
- Previous exposure to a work environment requiring attention.
- SAP System background and knowledge in CI is highly desired.
