Join our dynamic team as an Accounts Receivable / Business to Business Collections Specialist! You’ll be the go-to person for handling both internal and external inquiries about business-level receivable accounts. Your main responsibility will be managing the delinquency on a portfolio of accounts, all while providing outstanding customer service. Principal Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting with the management of customer's accounts receivables  (includes the assessment of risk, establishing reporting/metrics through the use of a data warehouse, negotiating resolution with customers and adhering to Goodyear's sales policies/programs). This position will handle daily activities associated with maintaining the accounts within their channel(s) of responsibility and routinely communicating with internal/external customers to resolve issues and ensure payments are received on-time and properly applied to the customer’s account. The incumbent will focus on reporting anaylsis to assist in implementing improvement opportunities to drive attainment of individual/departmental goals. 
 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contacting customer’s daily to ensure payments are made by the due date.
  • Verify the validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from the customer, sales team and other departments.
  • Resolve collections by examining customer’s payment process, payment history and billing setup and coordinating customer contact with the Credit Manager and/or Sales Teams.
  • Field incoming calls and emails, providing outstanding service to both internal and external customers.
  • Assist with administrative and daily support functions, which may include the creation and maintenance of reports/presentations, data management/integrity, back-up for Credit Manager and Accounts Receivable functions, etc.

 

Required Experience and Education:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.

Experience:

  • 0+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or business experience preferably in AR/Collections.
  • 2 or more years of experience dealing with internal/external customers.
  • Credit/Accounts receivable background with certification

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Results oriented, excellent communicator with business acumen to resolve issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Working knowledge of SAP (systems, applications and processes) and/or related software packages.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to understand complex information.
  • Committed to delivering exceptional client service in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish good working relationships.
