Primary Purpose of the Position

Manage the overall credit risk profile of LA by performing assessment of credit applications within the credit policies, corporate guidelines and regulations, to ensure the identification of risk and enforce its proper documentation, monitor customer performance, payment behavior and audit results Lead and develop high performing teams to enhance credit and collection performance across the region.

 

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Assess existing credit related processes, identify opportunities for improvement and drive implementation of credit policy/standards/procedure improvements in collaboration with key stakeholders in a methodical manner.
  • Ensure that Credit policies are capably designed and appropriately administered in full compliance with all Goodyear policy and procedure (regional and local). 
  • Continuously monitoring and analysis on credit and past due risk profile, operational and financial situation. Partnering with FDs to propose proper action or solutions accordingly. 
  • Ensure that monthly/weekly credit reviews are conducted in line with defined processes and timeline.
  • Partnering with FDs to project-managing non-performing or high exposures customers/accounts based on the defined processes.
  • Manage all credit and collection related internal control/audit activities.
  • Support finance transformation project.
  • Lead, manage and motivate the team by providing clear expectations, appropriate coachin and feedback.
  • Build talent pipeline/succession plan for key credit and collection roles across LA.
  • Provide training, coaching and guidance to new team members.

 

 

Education & Certifications.

Required:

  • Bachelor degree in finance or finance related

Experience:

  • More than 8 years’ experience with multinational companies in Finance/Accounting/Credit Control with track record of leadership
  • Experience with working in multi-country/culture environment.

 


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Masters’ degree in Business or related field or MBA preferre.
  • Advanced ability to recognize financial implications of business decisions and strategy with proven analytical and planning skill.
  • Ability to proactively drive the assigned projects and reach the preset objectives.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; SAP and pricing systems/tools preferred.
  • Facilitate and practice security and confidentiality of information.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • English required, Spanish/Portugese preferred.
  • Self-Motivated and grittiness.
  • Work under pressure.
