Accounting/Payroll Analyst

Primary Purpose of the Position:

Prepare, analyze and check calculations of payroll cost accountant, including but not limited: vacation, termination, time and attendance, monthly payment and taxes related on time and with quality, always in accordance with internal rules, according to the legislation and collective agreements.
Make an internal audits of payroll payments monthly an annually.
Responsible for the accuracy of payroll operations and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time. They also manage payroll accounting functions, reconcile accounts, and advise on payroll-related laws and regulations


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Process payroll: Verify and process payroll transactions, including garnishments and deductions 

Reconcile accounts: Reconcile payroll accounts, and balance commission years between payroll and accounting systems 

Prepare reports: Prepare payroll audits, garnishment reports, and accounting papers 

Research laws: Research and advise on state and federal laws to ensure compliance with compensation policies 

Analyze remuneration: Analyze a company's remuneration structures and policies, and recommend improvements 

Communicate: Communicate changes in payroll to employees, and act as a liaison between departments 

Maintain records: Prepare and maintain payroll records, and design and maintain a database to organize payroll data 

Calculate, analyze and check social charges, ancillary contributions, payroll, vacation, severance and other routines of the area correctly and on time.
Prepare reports that support all payroll calculations in order to comply with finance, internal controls and Government requirements.
Check changes in base salary before final calculation is made official for associates, students, apprentices and expats so all payments are paid correctly.
Prepare and submit all tax related obligations on time and correctly; including but not limited: IMSS, ISR, ISN.
Assure the deliver and sign of pay slip. Whenever required, explain / demonstrate calculation to associates always aiming to clarify questions related to their pay slip.
Attend internal and external audits.


Education:

Required: in Accounting/Accountant, finance or related field
Relevant experience in a similar role
Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and computer skills
Attention to detail
Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax laws


Experience:

5+ years experience on payroll or personnel administration areas
2+ years in payroll implementation projects
3+ years on local taxes application
3+years on local obligations
Relevant experience in a similar roles

Knowledge and Skills:

SAP and ADP Systems (payroll systems)
Payroll analyze and calculation process
Accountant knowledge
