Senior Technician

The opportunity

We are currently looking for Senior Technician to join our Mercury Plant in Dudelange. On this position you will:

• Be part of an innovative, highly automated tire production plant in collaboration with a diverse, international team
• Work with the latest technology in a digitalized environment
• Drive to zero equipment breakdown by implementing best practices and preventative maintenance
• Participate in troubleshooting activities as per line priority
• Develop standards of production, quality and maintenance process (lubrification, operation procedures, ICHE
• Training of new team members
• Manage Identification and implementation of improvements for increased productivity
• Be responsible to manage spart parts and preventive maintenance plan
• Develop and react to predictive maintenance alerts
• Management and implementation of corrective maintenance (red tags)
• Monitoring of production performances of own area
• Collaborate with outside contractors/vendors

To join our team you will need:

Education:

Bachelor in mechatronics / automation / electrical engineering or a technical degree with equivalent experience

Languages:

Good knowledge of English. French and or German are considered an asset

Experience:

5+ years of working experience in manufacturing environment is a considerable asset

Skills & Qualifications:

• Good problem-solving skills and self-initiative
• Ability to troubleshoot / improve mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills - combined with the capability to lead and coach co-workers
• Sense of urgency and commitment to resolve issues.
• Stress resistant, good communicational skills
• Knowledge of PLCs is an asset
• Position requires shift work (early, afternoon and night), eventually weekend work assignments
