Responsibilities:

  • Resposible to develop the pricing strategy for Malaysia including the setting of relevant competitive benchmarks, portfolio pricing strategy etc, for Consumer Replacement. Lead the process of setting both strategic and transactional pricing. Provide clarity on price positioning to support business decision making.
  • Lead the price approval process to ensure margins are maximized and pricing is controlled designed to meet Price Strategy/Principles.
  • Partnering with the sales organization to understand the overall value chain from Goodyear to Distributors to Retailers. Based on this understanding, ensure that Goodyear is able to capture an appropriate share of the value within the chain while keeping our channel partners engaged.
  • Provide financial and business leadership to the sales organization with respect to Goodyear's commercial policies to the Distributors and the Retailers and ensure that Goodyear's maintains a competitive advantage in the value proposition that we offer to our Distributors and Retailers while meeting internal margin targets.
  • Liase with relevant external parties and ensure that Goodyear is kept abreast on latest market and competitive developments on new products, pricing, commercial policies and promotions. Partner with the business to ensure that Goodyear is able to react timely and in a measured manner against emerging competitive threats.
  • Drive overall gross-to-net and credit efficiency through planning/execution of our policies/promotions and active exploration of alternative approaches to enhancing Goodyear's value proposition to the channel. Properly communicate these requirements to the business to ensure that opportunities are captured timely and effectively.

 

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years experience in Finance and Accounting,
  • Local GAAP and U.S. GAAP knowledge
  • ERP systems knowledge (particularly SAP) a plus
  • Experience in managing direct and indirect teams
  • Experience in consumer products and/or B2B environments, preferably MNCs
  • Knowledge of pricing methods and practices
  • Knowledge of IT/database construction and maintenance
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • High work ethics and motivation to deliver the task
