Business Data Analysis Manager

Primary Purpose of the position:

  • A key role to lead insight driven analysis and actionable recommendation for business growth from strategic point of view based on deep understanding of the tire industry trend, retail channel development and sales performance.

1) To provide analysis for long-term and short-term business planning

2) To integrate and analysis all level of data (industry, S/T, S/O data), translate data

into insights and recommendation for sales performance improvement and retail channel development

 

Responsibilities:

  • Industry analysis by leverage 2nd hand information and research data (such as IHS (consulting firm), LMC (consulting firm), GFK (consulting firm) data, car registration data, competitor financial report and other possible resources).

1) Make solid and reliable long-term and short-term industry forecast in AOP, RvsCC and MOR

2) Provide industry trend (by segment and by inch) analysis for business planning in AOP and RvsCC

3) Support product team for new product line planning

 

  • Sell-in data analysis to understand by segment, mix, vitality performance gap vs. AOP and rolling forecast.

1) Support PBU head to make comments on sales performance in MOR report

2) Monitor Full year by segment, mix and vitality to align with AOP/strategy

 

  • Sell-through (retail channel) data analysis for retail channel performance review with sales team on a monthly basis.

1) Provide down-to-earth recommendation on both new stores opening performance and existing store sales performance to sales team and retail COE

 

  • Sell-out data analysis based on GfK data and E-commerce channel data.

1) Find sales opportunities for sales team

2) Monitor and validate industry growth rate for both offline and online industry

 

  • Integrate industry, S/I, S/T and S/O data analysis.

1) Provide synergetic insights and recommendations for business development (such as distributor/retailer inventory management, distributor logistic service planning, etc.)

2) Find sales opportunities throughout industry, SI, S/T and S/O data

 

  • Develop and maintain quality database on industry data, sales data and intelligence.

1) Industry size, sales data at all levels from SKU, segment to overall consumer tire market.

2) Continuously improve the data quality and efficiency of data integration

3) Set up user friendly databases for data sharing

  • Business Intelligence:

1) Competitors strategy analysis by understanding competitors' capacity investment/SOM performance/retail channel expansion/marketing activity

 

  • Build up the team

1) Provide available opportunities to team member for developments and improvement in daily work

2) Guide and motivate team member to develop themselves

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Master is preferred
  • Fluent in English  reading, writing and speaking
  • 6+ years experience in a data analysis related, 2+ years in manager position would be preferred
  • Experience with strategy planning/consulting is plus
  • Automotive sector knowledge would be desirable
  • Excellent analytical skill.  Sensitive enough to provide insights or recommendations solve business issue
  • Proactively lead analysis for business planning
  • Excellent teamwork skill.  Ability to share and explain technical information to individuals with a wide range of backgrounds
