Demand Planning Business Partner 1

Primary Purpose of the Position:

  • Drive demand planning process for Consumer PBU sales growth and better integrate into whole S&OP process at country level and be accountable for data integrity and accuracy.
  • Take the responsibility of rolling forecast (S&OP horizon) aligned with business strategies and sales policies to support business growth by validating demand from market and customers externally, and demand from sales, marketing, supply chain, finance etc. functions internally.
  • Contact window of supply chain for responsible channel, to work with supply chain functions to support forecast & supply & sales order, logistic and warehouse issue.
  • Responsible to work with head of demand planning to continuous improvements from process, tool, people perspectives to achieve key performance indicators, e.g. sales volume, margin, forecast accuracy, DSI, customer satisfactory for department wide etc.

Responsibilities:

Take the responsibility to develop unconstrained and constrained forecast for each cycle:

  • Collect inputs from relevant functions: sales leader, Marketing, Pricing, Supply etc.
  • Develop short, mid and long-term forecast aligned with business strategies.
  • Work with key account managers on forecast development & demand shaping by account/by SKU.
  • Ensure on-time forecast uploading and data accuracy.

Contact window of supply chain coordinator:

  • Coordinate with supply planning, work on the supply plan, check supply status and Risk management on sales, make the contingency plan on high-low case.
  • Order tracking, ensue the sales recognition.

Take the responsibility to implement improvement projects:

  • Involve functional Continuous Improvement Projects, i.e. Distributor Sell in/Sell-through/Inventory, to optimize distributor inventory and then drive sell-in and sell-through.
  • Collect real demand from Sales and customers, to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Facilitate Head of Demand Planning to work with PBU and AP region on assigned projects to drive continuous improvements in DP function.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, major in Marketing, Business, Math, Economics, Statistics or Engineering is preferred.
  • > 5years working experience in sales operations, marketing operations, demand / supply planning.
  • 2-3 years working experience on continuous improvement within sales forecasting, demand planning, and inventory management or operations planning.
  • Experience in data analysis, e.g. tableau, python is a plus.
  • Strong professional and interpersonal skills in working with sales/marketing managers, high flexibility and ability to drive change and deliver results under pressure.
  • Self-confidence and assertiveness in questioning numbers and challenging assumptions being made by others.
  • Excellent negotiation skills / experience with diplomatic handling of challenging cross functional and business relationships by persuading, convincing and build partnerships in order to reach consensus.
  • Excellent communication and data presentation skills, ability to present complex analytical data and results in a simple way.
  • System and process driven.
  • Fluent in English.
