HR Director, Manufacturing & Supply Chain – Asia Pacific
As a strategic HR Business Partner, the HR Director, Manufacturing & Supply Chain – Asia Pacific will provide coaching and support to the VP Manufacturing AP and VP Supply Chain AP on all HR/People/Talent related matters. Responsible for the development, implementation & execution of HR needs and strategy for the Manufacturing & Supply Chain organization, in close partnership with Regional/Global HR. This function leads HR business partners in Manufacturing, Supply Chain & also act as the Regional COE for Labor Relations including supporting all Collective Bargaining negotiation / tactic / strategy for Asia Pacific.
This role will promote and monitor the HR functional excellence within Manufacturing & Supply Chain when translating business strategies and decisions into effective goals, plans & tactics. Ensures execution of all key HR policies and HR Core processes within the Manufacturing & Supply Chain organization across Asia Pacific (including all the factories).
In addition to recruiting and developing a high-performing Asia Pacific HR Manufacturing team to ensure the HR strategy is implemented effectively, consistently, and according to established guidelines and local labor laws. Responsible for building capability, succession planning and performance driven reward within the HR team.
They will lead and coach the Manufacturing & Supply Chain organization through change management initiatives. Conducts organizational design and analysis, identifies critical skills and competencies to deliver on business strategies. Maximizes performance through quality staffing, performance management, coaching and building leadership capabilities to maximize organizational effectiveness, development & succession planning. Develops, drives, and executes the Asia Pacific Labor Relations Strategy and overall Employee Engagement.
Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Contributes to strategic planning, decision-making and implementation of the Global HR strategy & priorities for Manufacturing & Supply Chain that balances the company's global vision with current and long-term business objectives and needs.
- Is the AP HR focal point of contact for any interactions with Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain leaders, and with Global HR.
- Develops, implements, and leads all change management initiatives within Manufacturing & Supply Chain.
- Provides coaching to Operations leadership members in implementing and communicating change.
- Leads the implementation of HR Core Processes, i.e., HR strategy & policy, Workforce Planning, Talent Management & Acquisition, L&D, Total Rewards & OD/OE.
- Translates business strategy and objectives into goals, plans, and tactics.
- Develops and implements HR strategies that effectively achieve business results in a dynamic environment.
- Communicates and monitors adherence to all HR policies, practices, and procedure, as well as local labor laws.
- Responsible for building talent, capability and succession planning within the Manufacturing & Supply Chain team in Asia Pacific.
- Within approved budgets, builds a culture of "Pay for Performance" driven by clear objectives and measurements.
- Applies COE strategy & policies in a consistent and equitable way to ensure top talent and teams are recruited and retained.
- Promotes the company as an "Employer of Choice" in the external market.
- Ensures legal compliance.
- Develops, drives, and executes the Asia Pacific Labor Relations strategy.
- Fosters and promotes a climate of constructive labor relations.
KEY EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Desired: Maters Degree
- 12-15 years of progressive HR experience, with HR experience related to manufacturing and plant experience;
- Within a multi-national environment.
- With minimum 8 years in a leadership role.
- With multi countries / plants responsibility.
- Preferably in a matrix organization.
- With a working experience outside China (if possible).
KEY SKILLS
- Fluency in English (written/verbal) is a must, with clear articulation and excellent communications kills.
- Proven leadership skills
- Senior level coaching, counseling and consulting skills.
- Strategic Thinking & Ability to develop and translate strategies and plans into action.
- Ability to work in/with regional/global operating matrix organizations.
