Head of Master Data - Policies & Governance

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage master data stewards in AP Supply Chain to manage material master data lifecycle end to end, for both finished goods tires and direct raw materials.
  • Enhance the master data solutions rapidly to response to both internal / external changes when need, to support business growth and dynamics, and ensure solution effectiveness / sustainability / scalability.
  • Provide the single source-of-truth at the enterprise level on relevant master data domains for analysis and decisions.
  • Manage master data governance practices with various stakeholders, to reinforce data ownership and develop governance frameworks, including processes / policies / data standard / rules and toolkits, to improve data ownership, accuracy, agility, and compliance.
  • Build domain related knowledge on manufacturing related master data, including BOM / Work Cetner / Work Center Hierarchy / Routing / Production Version. Design / Implement master data governance practices and Work with IT to improve the relevant solutions for effective maintenance, governance, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and establish master data related KPIs for continue improvement.
  • Provide regular training / guidance to the team, to ensure data accuracy and ownership, and build the data analytical and exception management skillsets within the team.
  • Guide the team to work with IT to improve the master data related solutions, identify the opportunities and ensure appropriate data governance / automation.
  • Assist master data related critical root cause analysis, corrective actions, and best practices implementation.
  • Help to resolve data governance related conflicts and assist on relevant decision making.
  • Promote master data management, data governance framework, data analysis and ownership.

Required experiences and skills:

  • 10 to 15 years in supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry or fast-moving consumer goods.
  • Experience in managing complex master data processes / governance in a multinational corporation with various cross border interactions.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects/processes involving various functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with IT systems in Manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to design detailed processes, ability to work with details but keep the high-level objectives in mind.
  • High ability to communicate up (Country Managing Directors & functional heads, Asia Pacific functional leaders) and down (country functions managers, subject matter experts, end users) with solid influence and convince skillsets. Ability to manage cross functional conflicts with different individual priority and preference.
  • Good project management skills with proven tracking record.
  • Solid data analytical skill, customer centric attitude and growth mindset.
  • Team spirit & results driven essential with sound leadership skills.
