Primary Purpose of the Position

  • Build a Center of Excellence for Planning (Demand & Supply) provide process leadership and strategic direction into the cluster and country teams. Provide strategic and transformational leadership for all planning activities at a Regional /Cluster /PBU /Country level encompassing application of advanced analytics and digital planning tools and building capability within the organization.
  • Lead the development, improvement and implementation of required processes, tools, standards & metrics to ensure a successful implementation of an enterprise wide demand planning strategy across Goodyear Asia Pacific. Lead business process change in the all the areas of supply planning - End to End for all Planning Horizons - R vs CC , S&OP and S&OE , Work center Master Data ( normal linkages of product specifications to Plant and Equipment Capacity & capability )and build capability as subject matter expert to enable the cluster & PBU Supply Chain Organization to win at the intersections of Sales & Marketing Excellence & Operations Excellence.
  • Accountable to bring in significant process health improvement in planning - MRP, Rough Cut Capacity Planning, Master Production Schedule, Inventory Optimization Demand & deployment Planning through business process reengineering and deployment of digital tools aligned with business strategy and One Goodyear Way philosophy.
  • Oversee and direct a team of Subject Matter Experts. Guide the team through actions in support of execution and sustainment of the Demand planning strategy. Coach, influence and interact regularly with various Sales/Marketing and Supply Chain leaders across pubs and Clusters.
  • Lead the process of developing the Planning Digital strategy for the mid - long term collaborating with Global COE SC Organization, external advisors, Regional IT and functional organization with a vision to become an Autonomous Supply Chain Organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Global /Regional/Country stake holders to develop the business process blueprint solution and partner with all stake holders to assess the suitability of appropriate tools/processes/capabilities to address the business need in the areas of Demand Planning and Supply Planning. Lead implementation of projects in each of these areas to drive business value.
  • Work towards developing Goodyear digital roadmap in the planning functional areas and lead/drive projects of using digital tools in the areas of demand planning, supply planning and inventory optimization
  • Identify, develop, and communicate standard planning practices across PBUs based on best practices within Goodyear and as prescribed by recognized experts. Lead regional Planning Process clubs focused on building organizational capability. Be the voice of the region in Global process clubs.
  • Maintain Class A S&OP.  Drive significant change in Goodyear mindset and behavior consistent with 1 team and 1 Goodyear way principles. Support Planning Director in S&OP wellness assessment across AP.
  • Prepare for full Supply Network Planning solution in terms of understanding sources of master data from the operating systems, understanding how Distribution Resource Planning, Material Requirement Planning and production execution fit into the Rough-cut capacity planning. Lead continuous improvement initiatives of Goodyear planning tools across demand, supply and inventory.

 

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree with master’s in supply chain or Operations;
  • APICS -CPIM- a plus;
  • Fluent in English
  • One or more SAP module(s) certification(s) a plus;
  • Exposure to advanced analytics in supply chain planning/digital planning tools
  • Green or Black Belt a plus;
  • Need to demonstrate leadership traits - Delivering results, build talent/team, make courageous decision communication skills and problem solving
  • 12-15 years with exposure to digital planning tools and emerging technologies in supply chain.
  • End to end supply chain knowledge
  • have experience and led transformation projects in supply chain
  • Exposure to application of advanced analytics in supply chain/digital planning tools
  • MBA/master’s in supply chain from a reputed institute
  • Knowledge in Supply Chain Module of SAP (S&D module, APO DP, WMs, TMs).
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics in Supply Chain and digital planning tools
  • Ability to learn emerging technologies and apply in Goodyear context to create meaningful business outcome
  • Ability to influence and drive change across the organization
