Retail data analysis:

  1. Analyze 3rd party sourced retail data (e.g. GfK Retail data) to diagnose business performance challenges, identify whitespaces and growth opportunities, and monitor competitor activities.
  2. Develop thoughtful analysis approach to solve problems and validate the opportunity
  3. Develop automated tools to analyze the data
  4. Lead, coach, and influence country and regional multi-function teams to identify prioritised segments and support growth opportunity

Consumer and Customer Insights
While this is not the primary responsibility, the role might be required to support (and even lead) Consumer/Customer research activities from time to time. In future, the role might grow to include full responsibility for research activities as well (however, data and analytics will always be the primary responsibility)

 

1. Support research projects such as: brand communication evaluation, Brand Health Tracking, Consumer and Customer understanding – both quantitive and qualitive analysis

2. Build insights and drive consumer centric sales and marketing decisions by sharing the category, brand & consumer understanding actively to regional marketing team members

Building data driven tools to drive business growth (geo-marketing):

 

Process and combine various data sets to build tools that enable identification of growth opportunities and business prioritization. (E.g. Identification of high priority stores and evaluating their opportunity size)

Industry forecasts:

  1. Use macroeconomic and Car/Tire industry data to develop forecasts for short to medium term
  2. Track this data on a monthly basis to keep the annual forecasts up to date. If needed, refresh the forecasts during the year
  3. Work with 3rd party agencies and the Goodyear market stakeholders to collect information and sharpen the forecasts

Data Reporting & Analytics:

  1. Collect and validate various data sets (such as Carparc data, retail sales data, competitor data, etc).
  2. Prepare reports and dashboards to present the data to stakeholders across markets
  3. Ensure data quality and timelines in accordance with the internal reporting and planning processes.
  4. From time to time, there will be new analytics requests such as media ROI assessment and marketing mix optimization, Pricing and Promotions analytics, assortment analytics, etc. This role will be required to design and lead such analytics projects
