Manager, Sales Operations, Consumer AP

Primary Purpose of the Position

  • Business development: Provide data analysis and insights to inform proactive opportunity management & risk mitigation activities that support volume and profitability targets of Consumer PBU by cluster.
  • Business optimization: Support the PBU head in the execution phase of overall  'go-to-market' Strategy with focus on maximizing sustainable profitability.
  • Business planning: Support the design of a realistic business plan by consolidating demand forecast information with fact-based sales assumptions, validate recieved inputs. Reflect market-back demand of clusters as an input in scope of S&OP and AOP cycles.
  • Support the demand & supply alignment process for the execution of short- and mid-term business plans. Together with Supply Chain ensures optimal translation of market demand into manufacturing supply aggregate and vice versa. Monitor the forecast accuracy for Consumer.
  • Value proposition design & deployment: Support the design of competitive value proposition per brand and channel in Consumer business in AP region with focus on strategic markets. Enhance customer centricity through aligning value proposition creation with internal sales operations management.
  • Manage monthly reporting and initiatives management for Consumer PBU at regional level.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in business processes, including RvCC, AOP, S&OP and S&OE, prepare growth plans and relevant data analysis and ensure that PBU business strategy is embedded and reflected. Provide support and consultancy in the plan execution in clusters to ensure deployment of PBU strategy into execution drivers. 
  • Lead the "R" process of the annual "RvsCC" process and support the Consumer Supply Chain business partner to co-ordinate the "CC" activities for the Consumer PBU. Lead the regional level sales forecasting process and drive the quality and accuracy of forecasting by using the right data and adopting effective methdology.
  • Manage the consolidation and reporting of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the monthly MOR deck for the Consumer PBU. Works with executives to formulate approaches for solving strategic business problems and taking advantage of new opportunities. Functions as a catalyst for communication and decision making. Collects information and analysis that provides insight into how progress is being aligned to strategic initiatives and how value is being create.
  • Design standardized Value Proposition guidelines and mechanisms per channel and brand across Consumer PBU cluster teams.
  • Manage the reports on sales performance & effectiveness, distribution, channel penetration and business growth. Provide data insights on business opportunities, risks and inputs to Sales Incentive Plan, Sales Capability Builiding programs, defining Sales KPIs and measures of success for sales function.  
  • Develops business tools, processes and infrastructure for increased effectiveness and efficiency of sales activities, e.g. CRM. Based on objectives, supports development and execution of strategic programs in close colaboration with other stakeholders.
