Primary Purpose of the Position:

Build brand preference via leveraging global assets and stories to develop and implement media/KOL (key opinion leaders) contents continuously and protects the company’s good name in crisis management.     

Manage media and KOL relationships and working with media to develop professional product test report and build the word of mouth of KOLs/KOCs (key opinion leader and consumers) through their product experience and promote it to drive purchase consideration.

Effectively leverage corporate messages for trade and internal communication in China.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop communications plan in PR and word-of-mouth building under the brand communication strategy.
  • Initiate and direct the PR programs (short and long range) by means of publicity and personal contacts, publications, press releases and other communication media in order to present a positive image of the company.
  • Facilitate a two-ways communication by establishing personal contacts, dealers, press media, KOLs and other community leaders in order to foster good relationship and leverage the relationship to build Goodyear brand image.
  • Identify and prepare news stories about company’s history, development, new products and services for dissemination to media and KOLs to promote and enhance the image of the brand, product and services.
  • Continue to work on new contents and build Goodyear brand image as discovery, technology, premiumness.
  • Set up close connections with regional team for a better resource sharing.
  • Provide relevant answer and information to the customers, press media on queries arise through consultation with the Management in order the information released is in line with the company’s.   
  • Provide guidelines and lead response and actions to ensure that communication around a specific condition (issue or crisis) is managed in a way that is sensitive to the situation and protects the company’s good name.   

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Communication, Marketing or PR related major.
  • 7+ years of experience in communications, public relations or related field; transportation, automotive or related industry a plus.
  • Proven track record developing and executing creative communication strategies to maximize visibility/brand awareness.
  • Experience managing the public relations function on a national scale -- including in support of high profile sports sponsorships.
  • Extensive experience working with the news media -- local, national, trade and sports.
  • Agency/vendor management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Strategic thinking ability, combined with agility and ability to execute in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of a complex and matrixed organization, from interacting with senior leadership to supervising others.
  • Affinity for creative & non-traditional communication platforms, including social networks.
