Senior Supply Chain Specialist

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

 

Demand management:

  • Rolling 18-month sales forecast planning with Regions/ tire plants and convert to Purchasing forecast & shipment forecast
  • Sales forecast accuracy control and improvement, focus on M, M-1 and M-2, by SKU by ship to party  
  • Sales stability control (lag 2 forecast) within tolerance level, and long term forecast collaborative planning with customers and relevant functions
  • Conduct DSI (Demand/Supply/Inventory) review meeting with each customer and understand finished goods market changes
  • Current month order-in-take align with projections
  • Customer relationship management

Supply management:

  • Overview demand and supply balancing, supply shortfall and surplus solutions and executions, define supply bottlenecks and provide solutions
  • Joint responsibility with Procurement to define and execute the best sourcing plan to fulfill customers’ demand under market constraints
  • Back order management and control
  • Raw materials (RM) supplier supply stability tracking and performance management, ensure RM supplier supplying on time as per request
  • Proactive planning ie. avoid wintering supply shortfall, public holiday impact etc 

Inventory management:

  • Vendor managed inventory trade cycle days define and control
  • Bonded warehouse Inventory replenishment and planning
  • Regular review inventory target and inventory parameter reset
  • Working capital control and inventory related cost management

Total cost of ownership and continuous process improvement:

  • RM value stream mapping and standardization of work processes
  • Identify opportunities throughout RM supply chain and internal processes

Risk management:

  • Be able to identify short to mid-term demand and supply risks
  • Contingency planning and business continuity plan

Supply chain KPIs management:

  • On time In full (OTIF) by vendor and by category
  • Inventory days of supply
  • Back-order & backlog
  • Total supply leadtime

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or any related field
  • 5-7 years Supply Chain management experience with exposure at regional/ global level, FMCG industry working background is preferred
  • Good commercial awareness and familiar with international trade
  • Big-picture thinker with attention to details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship management skills
  • Self-awareness, and be able to deal with different nationality/culture
