Strategic Procurement Lead - Ocean Freight

Job Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy: Partners with Category leadership to execute strategy at the commodity level. Leads the bid process - RFI release, RFP development, etc. Supports negotiation process by providing necessary analytics
- Supplier Relationship Management: Serves as the first point of contact for suppliers related to the category of spend. Supports Category Leads with strategic supplier relationships through data-driven recommendations
- Organizational & Operational Excellence: Leverages market data through should-cost models and other forms of financial or negotiation strategies
- Cross-Functional Collaboration/Stakeholder Management: Develops and maintains appropriate two-way communication channel between Procurement and the Commercial Council to ensure exchange of feedback in order to drive continuous improvement
- Building Organizational Capability: Accountable for meeting aspirational training goals for 7-Step Strategic Sourcing Process and Enhanced Sourcing Tools. Collaborates with peers and leaders within the Category Team dispersed globally
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or any related field
- 1-3 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related Operational function preferred
- Knowledge of business processes & financial/statistical analysis
- Familiar in using Microsoft Excel and/or other database programs
- Good English communication skills both verbal and written; Another language is preferred
- Team player and can work in a very fast-paced and multi-tasking environment
