The Hosting Services Consultant is a member of the Global Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Services Organization. This position is responsible for professional and technical work related to Hosting Services. This is an advanced service supporting role, primarily responsible for the transitional and operational tasks/duties in support of Hosting Service implementations, that span across a broad-range of global services and solutions (Server, Storage, Unix/Linux/Windows Operating Systems, Virtualization and Datacenter Facilities).


 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Service Transition Processes: Knowledge Management, Change Management, Asset and Configuration Management, Release and Deployment, Transition Planning and Support, Service Validation and Testing and Evaluation
  • Service Operation Processes: Incident Management, Problem Management, Event Management, Request Fulfillment, Access Management and Operations Management
  • Work with/across Global/Regional/Local IT Teams, by providing intermediate/advanced consultation for responsible services
  • Leverage data to identify, justify, recommend and implement system improvements (which leverage new or existing technologies)
  • Interact with Internal Customers in the evaluation, testing and implementation of IT Business Solutions (including presentations on how to apply IT, strategies for implementing IT solutions and assisting in costing exercises)
  • Plan, document, implement and debug Hosting Solutions and related software and systems
  • Conduct intermediate/advanced configuration or system modifications to those environments
  • Evaluate business and functional requirement documents, recommending solutions, project planning, and identifying training needs
  • Manage small to medium projects within area of specialization and across functional groups
  • May be required to perform activities associated with Technical Delivery Management (TDM) which includes ownership, maintenance, publishing and enforcing standard implementation, configuration, versioning,    standardization penetration reporting, 24-month roadmap, awareness of common incidents and involvement in Problem Management for supported services

     

 

Job Requirements:
 

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Engineering and Technology 
  • 5 or more years of experience in Hosting Services function
  • Knowledgeable in Server, Storage, Unix/Linux/Windows Operating Systems (2016) Virtualization and Datacenter Facilities
  • Experience in Windows Operating System version 2019, Data Domain, VSAB and SUSE/RedHat Linux and VMWare certification an advantage
  • Experience in planning, documenting, implementing and debugging Hosting Solutions and related software and systems an advantage
  • Ability to understand the business needs and deliver prompt, efficient, quality service to the business
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and meet end-user needs (other IT function, SAP, Database, Network, Cybersecurity, Mfg applications)
  • Drives outward results and ensures high-quality standards are met
  • Effectively convey complex and technical issues to diverse audiences 
  • Promote collaboration
