General Description:
As a Mold Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the setup, inspection, maintenance, cleaning, and changeover of flat and Unicircle molds used in the manufacturing process. This position ensures all mold-related tasks align with production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations to support efficient and continuous production. You will also be responsible for related safety and housekeeping obligations throughout the facility.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Perform mold changeover and maintenance tasks per production schedule
- Communicating with previous crews, verifying mold and extrusion schedules
- Inspecting mold inventory and condition, assembling/disassembling molds, cleaning segments using designated equipment
- Completing documentation such as First-Last Tread Checksheets and Mold Inspection Reports
- Ensure proper tagging, placement, and storage of molds and base plates to maintain production flow and minimize non-conformance.
- Abide by safe work standards
- Adhere to Goodyear's attendance policy
- Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable
Basic Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
- Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment contingencies
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous industrial experience with basic knowledge and understanding of machinery
- Technical training or experience in mold setup, maintenance, or mechanical assembly preferred.
- Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards
