The Opportunity:

The Raw Material Development and Approval team seeks a highly motivated and hands-on associate to lead engineer the local material development team for both managerial and technical item in Kunshan.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of minimum 2 engineers/technicians executing New Source program for AP region.
• Implement the global technical standards and best practices; facilitate knowledge management.
• Drive efficiency improvements in material approval programs.
• Provide on-site assistance during plant trials as required and perform supplier Technical assessments.

Requirements:

• Min. 7 years in raw materials, reinforcements (Steel and fabric), compounding or material characterization in laboratories.
• Familiarity with raw mateirals  and/or reinforced composites, understanding of structure/property relationships and advanced characterization methods for raw materials.
• Successfully demonstrated a minimum of 2 years of technical coaching and mentorship
• Experience in two of the following; Product development, Product Evaluation, Quality, Manufacturing, Global Engineering, Technology development (desired)    
• English and Chinese are a must.
• Written and spoken English CET level 6 is a minimum required.
• Any other language will be considered as an asset
• Familiarity with additives, polymers, fillers, and/or reinforcement materials is desired.
• Tire plant experience in mixing/component preparation and with tire production processes - Desired
• Proficiency in the statistical design and analysis of experimental data is required.
• Exceptional communication and technical documentation skills is required
• Domestic and international travel is sometimes required (up to 25%)
