Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the functional process of the Accounts Payable department by leading a team of more than 100 associates (with 5 direct reports) including the development and implementation of procedures and methods to monitor work activities and ensuring appropriate levels of resource; analyzing department budget to determine budget needs or reductions
- Collect, analyze, and present strategic financial information to business units. Provide strategic analysis and business support to management. Performs ongoing operational analysis and prepares appropriate recommendations and reports for management
- Lead the delivery of Shared Services Objectives based on the principles of superior customer service, continuous improvement, and best-practice management techniques. Maintains excellent relationships with internal customers so as to ensure mutual goals are achieved and up-to-date knowledge of best practices within the Accounts Payable environment
- Set strategic direction for AP in the region and establishes procedures and policies to improve the effectiveness of the AP Team at a regional level. Identifies areas of potential process improvement, and develops and enforces appropriate policies, procedures, and internal controls. Optimization of the SAP system in AP. Ensures Vendor Terms are reflective of agreements and Company Policy through regular review and changes maintained on a timely basis
- Develop and maintain performance measurement metrics appropriate to each specific business area. Provides consolidated reporting information to regional and GRBS management. Develops appropriate Best practice benchmarks together with comparative Operational and KPI Dashboard Reporting for the Accounts Payable group
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting / administrative or other similar professional qualification
- Minimum 5 years experience as an AP Manager/Lead in a high volume transaction
- Minimum 5 years experience in coaching and leading people
- Proven record of country migration into a Shared service center
- Acted as a Project Lead, Process Improvement driver and Change Agent
- Experience with SAP and ERP Payables systems
- Experience of Payables Process Automation and Systems Solutions
- Previously worked in a high volume environment - Vendor and transactional
- Previously lead medium size and diverse team
- Detailed knowledge of the Accounts Payable process, solid financial analysis, and problem-solving skills
- High level of proficiency in various computer applications including Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong project and change management skills, familiarity with project management approaches and tools required
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written), another Asian language a plus (Mandarin/Japanese/Korean)
